It’s the beginning of July so it’s time for a boring Peugeot.
Today’s one is obviously the 807, a derivative of the Sevel Nord van. There were also Fiat, Citroen and Lancia versions if a Peugeot didn’t appeal.
Whichever one you bought you got a seven seater (what Americans would call a minivan) with PSA engines, almost invariably diesels although petrol units were available including a 3.0 V6 which I’m guessing sold approximately nil.
Production lasted from 2004 to 2012 although after 2008 sales were low. Fiat and Lancia replaced their versions with variations of the Chrysler Voyager, PSA didn’t make a direct replacement because little demand for a vehicle of this size in Europe.
Van versions continue for Fiat and PSA and interestingly since 2013 there’s been a Toyota version, the Proace, as Toyota’s own Hiace didn’t sell in big enough numbers for Toyota to bother meeting the latest emissions regulations.

Way back in the pre-Espace days my dad considered one of these (this guy likes his vans). Rather unusually it was a loaded V6 one, so they must have sold atleast one of them. Rather unsurprisingly he went with a slightly newer Espace because diesel and Renault resale values.

I have been trying to find brake calipers from V6 models of 807/C8. Those came with ridiculously large front brakes that would useful in my project. V6 models are pretty rare but for some reason refurbished calipers are available. Now I just have to find a good store to get those.

I don’t suppose there’s any chance we could get a 208 30th next month? All this Peugeot malaise is depressing.

Are you uploading Dutch language videos now?

If I’m completely honest... I kinda thought it was German. I feel distinctly uncultured right now.
Anyway, as it turns out, there’s not a single decent English 208 30th video to be found, so I just went for something with good footage and alright subtitles.
